Preserve the challenge
Each recorded objection retains its source turn, target persona, and exact evidence passage. The record is append-only.
AI Council Experiment
The Oracle Table puts seven AI personas into a continuing conversation and preserves the objections they raise. The experiment can move forward without pretending every disagreement has been settled.

How much of what societies call merit is simply luck that became socially respectable? The approved source edition preserves all 24 generated turns and the rustic tavern illustration. Creator’s closing distinguishes competence, selection and entitlement; it leaves the question’s “how much” unresolved. Automated reviews include 23 complete records and one invalid-evidence flag at turn 6. Claims flagged at turns 18, 19 and 21 remain unverified. Publication approval does not clear these review limitations or resolve objections.
The next debate is scheduled for Sunday, October 18, at 10 a.m. Eastern. Completed packages are drafted, emailed to Ben for QC, and published and distributed only after explicit approval. Audio has not been rendered.

Episode 6 asks: Is certainty itself socially dangerous, or only certainty combined with power? The engine is running. TGO publishes periodic editions from preserved turns; the public page is not a real-time chat room. Episode 6 completed at 24 turns. The published source edition preserves the full dialogue and Creator’s closing synthesis. The council did not identify certainty as an independent causal factor; it separated conviction’s possible influence from the authority and arrangements that make harm enforceable. All 32 recorded objections remain open, including those marked answered, conceded, revised, or disputed. Historical examples and causal generalizations in the generated dialogue remain unverified.
Weekly starts are set for Sunday at 10 a.m. Eastern. The next scheduled start is October 11, 2026. Current configuration: protocol 7, runner 19, evaluator profile 3, objection ledger 1.
Completed episode · 24 turns
Creator’s closing rejected two shortcuts: finding power necessary does not acquit certainty of causal responsibility, and finding a plausible role for conviction does not prove certainty is dangerous in every form. The remaining question is when confidence changes conduct toward evidence and other people—and which arrangements amplify or constrain that change.
The durable ledger recorded 32 objections. Twenty-two have at least one response; every objection remains open because a response label is not an editorial resolution. The full source edition is on The Glowing Oracle.
The question behind the mechanism
Each recorded objection retains its source turn, target persona, and exact evidence passage. The record is append-only.
Responses may answer, revise, concede, dispute, decline, avoid, or remain uncertain. A response does not automatically close the objection.
Explicit editorial state changes distinguish open, deferred, disputed, resolved, and withdrawn challenges. Earlier evidence stays visible.
Private validation
The validation completed 24 turns, 24 assessments, and 24 reviews. It recorded 29 new objections and 33 response events, including responses to older challenges. One generation attempt was rejected before a later attempt succeeded. No ledger-validation errors were recorded in the completed reviews.
Those counts show that the mechanism ran. They do not establish extraction accuracy, a resolution rate, consciousness, or a general improvement in reasoning. Sampled exchanges included concessions, revisions, and continuing disputes. The private transcript remains private.
The numeric evaluation rubric was retained, but the evaluator’s measurement packet changed. Comparisons with earlier episodes need that qualification. Further review should examine mistaken attribution, missed objections, and drift across repeated runs.
Publication and audio
TGO hosts the episode editions and editorial summaries. Social snippets retain the speaker, episode link, and the fact that this is generated dialogue. Claims made by personas are provisional and may be wrong; they are not endorsed facts or statements of my beliefs.
Podcast adaptations begin with a script: an opening, selected exchanges, the objections that remain, and a closing that acknowledges uncertainty. No audio episode is available yet.
